Job Announcement: Education Project Director

The Intermountain Fair Housing Council, Inc. is seeking an employee to hire an Education Project Director position to join our office located in Boise, Idaho. The Council is a non-profit organization that promotes fair housing practices for housing providers and consumers throughout Idaho. The Council’s Mission is to help individuals whom face discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and source of income. The IFHC Education Project Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing, assisting, and managing the full range of the Council’s Fair Housing education and outreach activities; 
  • Coordinating education and outreach with enforcement activities;
  • Supervising and managing employees under education and outreach grants;
  • Writing and submitting education and outreach reports;
  • Conducting or providing Fair Housing education services to Idaho housing industry, advocates, government officials, community members and consumers;
  • Providing education and outreach with groups and individuals about the function and mission of IFHC and the FHA;
  • Facilitating and training in community/tenant engagement;
  • Managing, creating and maintaining social media, website, and podcast content with IFHC team members;
  • Lead and develop fundraising and grant writing efforts
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree or 2-5 years in civil rights advocacy and education, social media, WordPress, and technology experience. Salary $41,600 to $43,680 depending on experience for 40 hours a week. Upon hire and continued funding, other benefits such as vacation/sick leave, holidays paid, retirement, and medical, dental, and vision coverage available after 30days of employment.  Reimbursement for relocation is not available.
