Sponsorship Opportunity for IFHC’s Second Annual Fair Housing Celebration

Intermountain Fair Housing Council (IFHC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure open and inclusive housing for all people. IFHC attempts to eradicate discrimination through education on fair housing laws, housing information and referral, housing counseling, and assistance with mediating or filing fair housing complaints. In the last year we have reached over 3153 participants in 51 different educational events. And we counsel between 1000 – 2000 households annually in housing crisis and who could be experiencing housing discrimination.

Our goal for this event is to Celebrate Fair Housing, Fair Housing Champions and Superstars. These are the organizations and people who unite to assist our neighbors in housing crises. In our First Annual Fair Housing Celebration, we honored realtors, service providers, attorneys, and individuals who have worked tirelessly to ensure Idahoans receive Fair Housing Justice. And we’re asking you to Celebrate Fair Housing with your support as a Sponsor for our 2026 event on December 17, 2026.

We will be celebrating our 32nd Anniversary in Idaho as the only organization who educates and enforces the Fair Housing Act to end discrimination in housing transactions. We will also be promoting the Fair Housing Act’s 58th anniversary, our multiple successes through direct support, referral, education, and we’re celebrating Fair Housing Heroes and Rockstars, like you.

Last year, we filed 83% more discrimination cases in Idaho than we did the previous year. Many of those cases involved individuals with disabilities. Our most vulnerable in Idaho are being discriminated against in housing. For example, a couple with a severely disabled son were being improperly evicted. A partner organization, who knew about our mission, referred the couple to IFHC. We were able to assist the couple through a process that can be daunting and overwhelming when it’s a family against a large landlord corporation. Because of IFHC, the couple was able to stay housed and has the time to seek housing that would meet the needs of all family members.

Everyone deserves access to safe, affordable housing, and together, we can educate Idahoans about their housing rights under the Fair Housing Act.
